Croatia Enters The Euro 2008 Quarter Finals

Germany have been beaten for the 8th time in the European Championship, while croatia have taken the pole position in Group B. The match took place at Klagenfurt this evening, thousands of fans were shocked at Croatias win along side the bookies taking a beating with Germany as pre match favourites at 2/1.

Two goals one each half took Croatia into the Quarter Finals with Darijo Srna scoring the first goal and Ivica Olic slotting the second goal at 63 minutes into the game. Many chances were given for Germany with Michael Ballack seeing his fierce free-kick pushed away by Croatia goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa. And in stoppage time Sub Bastian Schweinsteiger was sent-off after pushing Jerko Leko - an angry reaction after a challenge from the Croatian.
