Have a Getaway today at Epsom

Getaway will surely be a warm order today in the Coronation Cup at Epsom, after his impressive demolition at HQ last time. Getaway gave 3lb and a 3 and a half length beating to the St Leger winner Sixties Icon. This has now installed Getaway as favourite for the Prix de L’arc de Triomphe in October. Therefore this race should be his for the taking if he has expectations of winning the Arc.

The main rivals will come in the form of Youmzain who finished an unlucky second in the Arc last year and beat Getaway in that particular race. However that is by far and away Youmzain’s best run and he has not been consistent. I think Soldier of Fortune will give the worthy favourite most to do he finished just behind Youmzain and Getaway in the Arc last year. However he appears a much better horse on faster ground having finished 5th in the Derby behind Authorized and more impressively accounting for Zambezi Sun at Longchamp.
In conclusion I recommend 20 points win on Getaway at a general price of 5/4.
