Rain Delays 1st Test

England v New Zealand 1st Test has been delayed by Rain. Showers last night in London were followed by persistent drizzle on Thursday morning, and further rain is expected later on today. When conditions are stable and the play begins, England will seek to build on their 2-1 Test series win in New Zealand earlier this year.

Southwell 4.20
May 13, 2008
Whilst paddock-watching at Windsor last Monday I was taken with the appearance of PAPUAN PRINCE. He was making his seasonal debut after having only the one run as a 2-y-o at Newbury last August, that Newbury run wasn’t totally without promise, he made some late progress. He was available on some boards @ 28/1 at Windsor and was returned at a starting price of 20/1. Slowly away and behind, he made steady headway to have every chance entering the final furlong, I thought that I was onto a winner at one stage, but the run petered-out and he eventually finished sixth, beaten about three lengths.
He drops back a furlong today, which shouldn’t be a problem, but the one unknown is the surface. Fibresand isn’t every horse’s ‘cup of tea’, and he just might not act on it or take a dislike to the ‘kick-back’.
It is obviously up to you whether you get involved but I think I will be having an interest on an each-way basis, he’s about 5/1 on Betfair but the market hasn’t really formed yet.
